Amaco Velvets are a favourite among both pros thanks to their rich colour, reliability, and versatility.

Ultra Black Velvet Underglaze transforms into a soft, dark matte shade at cone 05 and turns richer and deeper by cone 5, staying true even at cone 10.

 Adding a clear glaze really makes this colour pop at any firing temperature. Just a heads-up: under SM-10 Clear Satin—a smooth, stiff, zinc-free glaze—the colour can mellow a bit.

 For the best show, apply two coats of SM-10 Clear Satin over your underglaze and enjoy the vibrant finish!

Just remember, each batch can vary, so test your glaze before diving in!
